Welcome to Gambian Excursions providing local guided tours and bird watching trips in and around Kotu, Gambia and Senegal.
Gambia is the perfect place to visit as the climate guarantees you is pretty much uninterrupted sunshine and practically very little chance of rain. From November to June daily temperatures are in the low 30s making Gambia the perfect winter sun holiday destination. Gambia is an English speaking African nation which ensures you will have no trouble getting around and experiencing the beautiful people and the country of Gambia.
Gambia (officially the Republic of Gambia) is not a recognised tourist destination which means now is the time to go! And with it’s all year round sunshine and quiet beaches you can be safe in the knowledge you will have a peaceful and enlightening holiday. Flight times to Gambia are about 6 hours but what’s even better is it’s on the same timezone as the UK, so no jet lag. And with it’s exotic wildlife, golden beaches and vibrant markets now is the time to visit Gambia. Also with over 600 species of birds Gambia is the birdwatchers paradise.
