If you would like to visit a craft market there are some good places I can take you. Bakau Market, Albert Market or Senegambia Market all selling a range of products. At these markets you can buy traditional clothing. wicker baskets, objects carved from wood, earrings necklaces, bracelets, bags, local paintings,
musical instruments and many more African products.
Tanji Local Fish Market Tour
This is in the northern section of the Kombo South District in the west Coast region of the Gambia. It is 30km by road from Banjul and 12km south west of Kololi. Here at Tanji you can watch the local fishermen arrive to shore in their fishing boats with their catch that day. They unload their fish and prepare to sell
them to all those wishing to buy that day. This is a very colourful lively experience where you can watch the hustle and bustle of real life Gambians from the fishing community. You will also have the opportunity to visit a smoke house where they smoke the fish.
