Gambia National Museum is on independence drive in the heart of Banjul. It is a 45 min drive from the hotel area. It is a detailed museum with a lot of information and artefacts on the history of Gambia. It is on 3 floors exhibiting artefacts that give an introduction to Gambia’s history. The history ranges from ancient settlements through the slave period and colonial rule to the present day.
